Students Compete at NALSA Moot Court Competition

The University of North Dakota Chapter of the Native American Law Students Association (NALSA) sent two teams to the 17th Annual National NALSA Moot Court Competition hosted by the University of Colorado and University of Denver NALSA Chapters.  The competition was held in Boulder, Colorado on February 27-28, 2009.  Participating in the competition this year were Anne Smith, Charlotte Skar, Wendy Ellis-O’Konek, and Diane Wehrman.

Forty-two teams competed.  Diane Wehrman (third-year), left, and Wendy Ellis-O’Konek (second-year), right, moved on to the second day of competition in the “Sweet Sixteen” elimination round.  Diane Wehrman was named Best Oralist of the Competition.
