Judicial Clerkship Workshop to be be held on Friday, Ocotber 6

The North Dakota Supreme Court will be hiring law clerks from the Class of 2008 in March, 2007. These positions will be starting August 1, 2008. We are hosting a panel discussion and open question session with the current clerks.

This Friday, the North Dakota Supreme Court will be hearing two cases in the Baker Courtroom. The Justices of the Supreme Court will be accompanied by their law clerks. The clerks have agreed and volunteered to present at a panel discussion and open forum regarding the duties of a judicial law clerk.

On Friday, October 6, The Judicial Clerkship Workshop will be held from 12:15 to 1 pm in Room 103. The panelists will be Supreme Court and North Dakota District Clerks, all of whom are UND School of Law grads. The items addressed will include:

  1. Why a judicial clerkship? What attracted you this professional experience?
  2. What was your strategy or plan? What timelines did you follow?
  3. What was your interviewing experience?
  4. What advice can you give to those who are interested in following in your successful footsteps?
