Outside Employment

The faculty considers the study of law a full-time endeavor. Experience has proven that it is in the best academic interest of the student not to undertake a part-time job, especially during the first year of study. Some students, however, must obtain part-time employment. All students must fill out an employment information form for the Dean's Office within the first four weeks after registration and must notify the Dean's Office immediately of any change. Under American Bar Association accreditation standards, full-time students may not work in excess of twenty hours per week while attending law school on a full-time basis.
